Anthidium funereum Schletterer, 1890
Diagnostic description:
This species is highly variable in the color of the pubescence and integument. It resembles A. peruvianum, A. spatulatum and A. toro in the shape of T6, elongate F1 and strong basal protuberances of the labrum of the female, and the shape of T7 and S6 of the male. In addition to the larger body size and denser pubescence of both sexes, the female can be separated by the black sternal scopa and the male by the more densely punctate T6 and T7, S7 hemisternite with pointed apex and S8 with longer and stouter apical process.
Distribution:
This species is found at high elevations along the Andes in the followings countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Perú and Ecuador.
