Diagnostic description:
This species is most similar to A. macushi, from which it can be separated by the clypeus of the female which is covered with minutely branched hairs, usually with a wavy or gently tuberculate distal margin; the male can be recognized by the small, ventrally directed spine on the distal margin of S6.
Distribution:
This species is widely spread in northwestern South America. It has been recorded from Colombia (Valle, Antioquia, Huila), Venezuela (Sucre), and Suriname (Wanica, Lelydrop).
