Diagnostic description:
Both sexes of this species are similar to those of A. clypeodentatum. The female can be separated by the weakly convex clypeus with non-tuberculate distal margin, and T6 with a small but distinct lateral spine on the preapical carina. The male can be easily recognized by S6, which has a distinctive subrectangular median lobe.
Distribution:
Central USA from Great Plains to Michigan; southern Ontario, Canada.
