Biology:
The nesting biology of this species was described by Gonzalez et al. (2009). Nests were found in dead trees of Aniba sp. (Lauraceae). Nest burrows were about 19 mm in diameter. Cells were about 23 mm in lenght. Abandoned nests of this species were occupied by the orchid bee Euglossa nigropilosa Moure.
