Triepeolus parvus Rightmyer, 2008
Biology:
Asclepias subverticillata (A. Gray) Vail, Heterotheca sp.
Diagnostic description:
This species can be identified by its small, widely triangular pseudopygidial area, which is mostly composed of long, coarse setae; and by the paramedian bands, which are laterally contiguous with pale setae on the anterior margin of the mesoscutum. Additional distinguishing features are the relatively short clypeus and the apparent absence of erect, simple setae on the mesepisternum (these setae observable under high magnification).
