| Abstract: | We describe Paratrigona uwa sp. nov., species apparently endemic to the cordillera Oriental of Colombia. We also provide new geographical records and a synopsis of the 10 species of Paratrigona that occur in Colombia. We did not find specimens of P. impuntacta and P. ornaticeps in the examined insect collections; therefore, it is likely that previous records of these species for Colombia are misidentified specimens. |
